I received this prize at the INFORMS Meeting in San Jose (California) at November 18, 2002 for my Ph.D. thesis Planning and control concepts for material handling systems.   • Winner of the AXA-Leven Master thesis Award 1997.
    This prize was given yearly for the best Master thesis in the area of financial services. This prize was awarded for my Master thesis Kasvoorraadbeheer bij aangesloten banken. (Cash-balancing problem at banks). By combining theory and practice I have developed models to decide when, and how much to order from or return to the National Bank, taking into account the minimising of the total expected costs and the meeting of customer service requirements
